p.1

Leadership and governance Expected standard

The provider has a suitable understanding of her strengths and areas for improvement. She reflects on her provision and has clear aims of what she plans to offer children at the after- school club. p.1

Leadership and governance Expected standard

The provider is building and developing relationships with local schools and her provision to offer wrap around care for children in the local community. She maintains these professional relationships to ensure that when children attend her setting she has all the knowledge and information she requires. This helps to make sure that she meets the individual and varying needs of the children in her care. The provider has a secure knowledge of recruitment processes and how she aims to ensure that any staff she employs are suitable and have the right training and qualifications to provide care for children. Risk assessments and the premises are managed and maintained to ensure they remain safe for children. There is a secure entry to the building, ensuring only those who are authorised have access to the premises.

p.3

About this inspection

We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.

p.3

About this inspection

'There were no early years' children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years' children present, inspectors evaluate and grade only leadership and governance, as there is no reliable evidence from other evaluation areas through which to assess the impact on children. This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
