p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder has made improvements since her last inspection. She has reviewed her practice and made changes to address her previous actions. For example, she now has a robust policy in place to administer any medication, which includes procedures to seek permission from parents and maintain accurate records. Her first-aid box is fully stocked and is replenished when needed. The childminder responds promptly to any accidents, supporting children's immediate wellbeing. She also has valid public liability insurance in place. The childminder's ongoing professional development has a positive impact on the quality of care children receive, as she continually updates her knowledge and applies this to her daily practice.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder demonstrates she understands her responsibilities to keep children safe and protect them from harm. This includes supporting children's safety, wellbeing and individual needs. She demonstrates her understanding of providing a planned and sequenced curriculum to support all children's ages and stages of learning. This includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities or those with barriers to their learning. The childminder regularly uses observations and identifies any gaps in learning. This ensures she supports children to make the best possible progress.

About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children in other evaluation areas.
