p.1
This monitoring visit
On 10 October 2025, Ofsted imposed a condition on the registration that required the provider to give Ofsted three months’ notice of its intention to welcome children into the home. This condition was imposed because there were no children living at the home, and there was no registered manager in post.

This monitoring visit
Managers have safely recruited a team of staff, half of whom are suitably qualified, while the remainder are new to the children’s social care sector. All staff have access to mandatory training, and additional training is provided to support children’s needs, as set out in the statement of purpose. However, there are gaps in some Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2795076 2 training courses. For example, staff lack training to guide them in caring for children with adaptive communication needs. Managers plan to commission further training to help ensure that children are supported in expressing their views and that these are acted on, so far as is reasonably practicable.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The home environment is safe and suitable for children. All outstanding repairs have been addressed, and the premises are well maintained. Health and safety checks take place regularly to ensure that the home remains a safe environment for children.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Senior leaders have recruited a manager, who has applied to register with Ofsted. The provider, as the sole director, has applied to carry out the role of the responsible individual. While the manager has experience in other areas of children’s social care, he does not have experience of working with children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The responsible individual also has no previous experience in the children’s social care sector. As a result, the home’s leadership team does not yet have the full experience, knowledge or skills required to meet children’s needs in accordance with the home’s registration conditions.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Due to these concerns, Ofsted has discussed with the provider the need to vary the home’s registration conditions. Leaders have stated their commitment to working with the regulator to ensure that arrangements are safe and suitable for children. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2795076 3
