Leadership and governance Expected standard

Leaders possess a sound understanding of the out-of-school club's context, strengths and most areas for development. Leaders are reflective, responsive and ambitious for the future of the out-of-school club. Further strengthening of how they analyse areas for development would further impact on the effectiveness of the provision.

p.1

Leadership and governance Expected standard

Leaders typically maintain effective partnerships with families and the host school. This partnership work helps ensure that children's needs are understood and that staff can work together to promote and support positive outcomes. Leaders confidently explain how they will support children who have barriers to their learning, including children who are disadvantaged or who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. Leaders take into account staff workload by checking in with them regularly, monitoring their practice and seeking their feedback. Wellbeing for staff is high profile. Staff explain that they feel appreciated, listened to and well supported in their roles. Leaders arrange statutory and professional development training for staff to support their knowledge, understanding and to improve their skills. They monitor the quality and impact of this through observing staff and carrying out supervisions regularly. Leaders organise frequent staff meetings, to ensure

About this inspection
