On 29 January 2026 Ofsted completed an assurance inspection in response to significant concerns for the children’s safety and welfare. Ofsted identified serious and widespread concerns in relation to the care and protection of children at the inspection. An emergency case review was held, and a decision was made to suspend the home’s registration. In addition, a compliance notice was issued under regulation 12, the protection of children standard.

This monitoring visit
After the home was closed the provider made arrangements for all staff to leave their employment with the company. At the time of this visit, there were no staff employed to work in the home. Leaders have taken steps to review the recruitment policy and implemented additional measures to improve safer recruitment procedures. However, the provider is unable to demonstrate the effect these changes have made in safe recruitment practices as staff have yet to be employed. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2835669 2 The provider has taken steps to investigate concerns into staff practice. Although there are no staff working in the home, the provider has followed their disciplinary policy and completed a full investigation and taken follow up actions in relation to concerns about staff practice. Relevant information has been shared with appropriate agencies to help safeguard children.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The provider has implemented new systems to improve management oversight. This includes monthly audits, observations of staff practice and a process to have an ongoing review of the culture in the home. Other additional measures include leaders having monthly oversight of audits and any identified actions from these. These new systems have yet to be tested to determine effectiveness.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The provider is developing a new safeguarding training programme that will be delivered to all staff prior to them working in the home. However, the provider is not ready for children to move into this home. There are not adequate staff to meet the needs of children. The provider recognises this and is taking steps to recruit staff and implement new processes to improve safety for children.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The steps in the compliance notices have been met. However, further work is needed. Therefore, a requirement under regulation 12, the protection of children standard has been issued. The requirement under regulation 35 cannot be evidenced as no children are living at the home, therefore, this has been restated. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2835669 3
