Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2830806 1 Registered provider: Adored Care Limited
p.1
Inspected under the social care common inspection framework
p.1
Information about this children’s home
A private company operates this children’s home. The home provides care for up to 4 children with social and emotional difficulties.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
The home registered with Ofsted in May 2025. The registered manager post has been vacant since February 2026.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The home was judged inadequate at the full inspection on 27 and 28 January 2026. Following the inspection, 3 compliance notices were issued, under regulations 6, 12 and 13 of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. The purpose of this monitoring visit was to monitor the action the provider has taken to address the steps set out in the compliance notices.
p.1
This monitoring visit
At the time of this visit, there were no children living in the home. Four children had been living in the home until February 2026. Serious failures in safeguarding practice were identified at this monitoring visit. Further safeguarding incidents, which occurred while the children were living in the home, were not managed effectively and left children at risk of harm.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The manager and responsible individual posts were vacant at the time of this visit, which means that there is no stable leadership structure in place. The absence of management oversight significantly compromises the quality of care provided to children.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Inspectors identified that oversight in the home is currently provided by an individual who previously held the role of the provider’s independent person. Although they no longer hold this position, they are now a director of the independent service Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2830806 2 commissioned to complete monthly visits. This arrangement compromises the independence of those visits and presents a clear conflict of interest.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Following this monitoring visit, inspectors concluded that the compliance notices remain unmet and therefore reinstated them, alongside the suspension of the home’s registration. This action provides time for a new management team to be appointed and for stronger safeguarding practice to be developed.
