Unique reference number (URN): 2738058 Registered with Ofsted: 22/08/2023 Registers: EYR, CCR, VCR
p.1
Leadership and governance Needs attention
The childminder understands the importance of professional development, although she has not engaged in any recently. Consequently, she has not kept her knowledge of all areas of the early years foundation stage requirements up to date. There are some requirements where the childminder does not have fully secure knowledge, such as the rules connected to leaving assistants in sole charge of children. In addition, the childminder has allowed her paediatric first-aid certificate to lapse. However, she understands the importance of first aid and how to respond to children if an accident occurs.
p.1
Leadership and governance Needs attention
The childminder has some understanding of how to assess her strengths and areas for improvement. She explains how she will gather parental feedback and monitor children's progress to help her evaluate her service. The childminder demonstrates knowledge of how to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who may face barriers to learning. She discusses working closely with other professionals to meet children's care and education needs. The childminder understands how to work in partnership with parents. She explains how she will share children's learning and progress, gather information about home experiences and work together on the things children need to learn next.

About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas. This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
