Childminder

Unique reference number (URN): 2754019 Registered with Ofsted: 30/10/2023 Registers: EYR, CCR

p.1

Leadership and governance Expected standard

The childminder is committed to maintaining her registration and demonstrates a suitable awareness of her responsibilities. She explains how she will provide care for a small number of children. She intends to limit numbers to 2 places so she can provide focused support and meet children's individual needs. She considers how her time will be organised and how she will maintain oversight of her practice to ensure children's learning needs are met consistently to help them make progress.

p.1

Leadership and governance Expected standard

The childminder has a clear overview of her strengths and areas for development. She recognises that her recent experience has been with older children and has taken action to strengthen her knowledge and understanding of caring for babies. For example, she has completed training in safer sleep, weaning and early language development. This supports her ability to meet the welfare and wellbeing needs of younger children.

p.1

Leadership and governance Expected standard

The childminder describes how she will make decisions in the best interests of children. The childminder recognises the levels of deprivation in the local area. She explains how she intends to support parents to check eligibility for any additional funding. She describes her intentions to ensure any funding would be used to reduce barriers to learning. This includes resources to support learning at home or outdoor clothing so children can enjoy the outdoor provision. She understands how that working closely with parents and other professionals, such as health visitors, will support all children's learning and wellbeing. This includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

About this inspection

We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.

About this inspection

There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
