Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders have a clear vision for the setting. They manage the club's day-to-day operations effectively while promoting children's welfare and positive behaviour. They provide clear oversight of practice, ensuring that policies and procedures are well understood and applied consistently. As a result, children benefit from a safe, well-organised and welcoming environment.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders offer relevant and meaningful professional development opportunities for all staff, identified through appraisals and regular team meetings. Staff engage in ongoing training to keep their knowledge up to date, which strengthens practice across the setting. Leaders also prioritise staff wellbeing and foster a positive culture of high expectations, ensuring that everyone feels valued, supported and appreciated, while monitoring that workloads remain manageable. Leaders demonstrate a secure understanding of how to identify and support disadvantaged children, those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and children known to social care, even though there are currently no children in these groups. They would use information from parents, alongside partnership working with the host school and local authority, to inform decisions and ensure appropriate support is in place.
p.1

About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
