Leadership and governance Urgent improvement
The childminder does demonstrate a secure understanding of the indicators of abuse and neglect and is aware of the potential exploitation and risks that vulnerable children may face. She recognises how to ensure all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, can access activities and learning opportunities equally. She also understands the value of working in partnership with parents and with the schools children attend to promote consistency and continuity in their care and learning. The childminder acknowledges the importance of teaching children about healthy lifestyles and safe behaviours to prepare them for future life. She describes her role in modelling positive behaviour and supporting children to behave well and show respect for others. Parents' written feedback is positive. They comment that the childminder is caring and children respond well to her guidance.

About this inspection
There were no early years children on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussion with the childminder and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
