p.1
Leadership and governance Needs attention
The childminder does not develop her own knowledge and expertise through ongoing professional training to ensure the quality of the curriculum is sufficiently ambitious. Therefore, current practices are not reflected in all aspects of learning, particularly communication and language and a sequenced mathematics curriculum.
p.1
Leadership and governance Needs attention
The childminder has reflected that she has not maintained systems that were in place to build on children's next steps. As a result, children are not as well prepared for the next stage in their learning, such as starting school.
p.1
Leadership and governance Needs attention
The childminder and her co-childminder do not use appropriate strategies to support the specific needs of all children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. She highlights concerns about children to their parents, signposts parents to agencies and professionals and provides extra adult support.
p.1
Leadership and governance Needs attention
Daily risk assessments are not consistent outside. Resources are not clean, accessible or suitable for use. This reduces children's play and learning opportunities. The childminder and co-childminder encourage children to tidy up and use good manners. Parents receive regular communication on their child's progress and advice on toilet training.

p.3
About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
