Childminder
Unique reference number (URN): 2691910 Registered with Ofsted: 24/11/2022 Registers: EYR, CCR, VCR
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder understands how to provide an ambitious curriculum that promotes children's learning, confidence and progress. She considers the differing needs of all children. This includes those who may face barriers to their learning and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring that the curriculum remains inclusive and accessible. She recognises the importance of working in partnership with parents and other professionals. She spoke about how she will take time to get to know each child, learning about their routines, interests and learning needs so she can set clear expectations and provide consistent support. She understands how to help parents reinforce routines and behaviour expectations at home, ensuring children receive a consistent message so they understand what is expected of them.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder has a secure understanding of how to assess children's learning and how to provide purposeful, engaging play opportunities that help them make progress. She also recognises the importance of regular attendance. She spoke about how she will work with parents to ensure children access their education consistently. She is aware that she must keep her skills and knowledge current and relevant. While she completes mandatory training, such as paediatric first aid, she does not yet focus on wider professional development that would strengthen her practice further.

0 to 0
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
0 to 0
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
