Since the appointment of a new registered service manager, the provider has carried out considerable work to implement improvements. This has included working in partnership with the placing authorities.

p.3

How well children are helped and protected

No new children have been referred to the provision since the inspection in October 2025. Staff have positive relationships with the child.

p.3

How well children are helped and protected

The accommodation is of a high standard with opportunities for children to personalise it. Each flat has space to accommodate one child, and children would not share facilities. Each flat is decorated, equipped and maintained well. The child can access staff support day and night through the office located next door or by telephone. This provides the child with a sense of security should they require support in addition to their agreed key-work sessions. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider: TD Supported Living Services 4 Support sessions are recorded with detail and care. When reading them, the child can see the progress they are making. Sessions are carried out in both flexible formats and more formal meetings.

p.3

How well children are helped and protected

The provider allows the child to have pets, for which the child demonstrates personal responsibility and care. This supports the child’s future plans to care for pets when living independently.

p.4

How well children are helped and protected

Staff advocate for the child to receive financial support. This has enabled them to dress appropriately for interviews and cover travel expenses for their apprenticeship.

p.4

How well children are helped and protected

The child has an advocate who meets with them regularly and can represent their views with the provider and placing authority if required. This helps ensure that the child’s voice is heard.

p.4

The effectiveness of leaders and managers

Leaders and managers oversee the provision and decision-making processes related to notifications. As only one child is using the service, the level of oversight necessary has been reduced.

p.4

The effectiveness of leaders and managers

Leaders and managers have developed and produced a range of documentation and a robust recording system. This helps ensure that oversight of the provision is underpinned by policies, procedures and the necessary recordings.

p.4

The effectiveness of leaders and managers

Safer recruitment helps ensure that children are safeguarded and that new staff have the necessary knowledge, experience and skills to support children’s development.

p.4

Arrangements are in place to oversee the development of staff through their attendance at training and discussion during supervision. Supervision records are detailed and reflect these arrangements.
