p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder continually reviews her practice to identify any areas for improvement. She actively seeks the views of parents and older children to ensure the provision meets their needs. Parents and staff at the schools children attend comment that the childminder is professional, caring and fully committed to supporting children in her care. The childminder ensures her knowledge and skills are kept up to date through regular training. She can explain how she supports children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities through adaptations to her practice.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder knows when to seek support from other professionals and will help parents to access outside agencies. The childminder considers how she will use additional funding to target the individual needs of children and enhance their learning, such as ensuring children have books that interest them. The childminder demonstrates a secure understanding of how children learn and the importance of a high-quality curriculum. She provides examples of how she will support children to develop communication and language skills, how she promotes personal, social and emotional development, and provides opportunities for children to build on their physical skills.

There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection.
