Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder has a clear understanding of her roles and responsibilities in meeting the requirements of the early years foundation stage, including safeguarding children and protecting them from harm. She demonstrates a consistent commitment to inclusion and is aware of how to provide support for disadvantaged children and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The childminder understands the importance of maintaining regular communication with parents to provide a consistent approach for children. She also knows how to work with a range of professionals, including health visitors, speech and language therapists and the local authority, to support children's needs. She is able to plan and set targets for children and understands how to use assessment to monitor children's progress.

0 to 0
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
0 to 0
There were no early years children present or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
