p.1

provider

The provider registered with Ofsted on 26 October 2024 to provide ring-fenced supported accommodation.

p.1

provider

At the time of registration, the provider had 2 properties offering supported accommodation for up to 5 children. At the time of this visit, the provider had one property offering supported accommodation for up to 3 children.

p.1

provider

On the day of this visit, no children were placed with this provider.

p.1

provider

This visit was announced with one hour’s notice.

p.1

provider

The inspector visited the provider’s head office. During the visit, the inspector spoke to the nominated individual and a director. The registered service manager could not attend.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Serious shortfalls were identified during a monitoring visit on 11 September 2025. On 12 September 2025, a notice restricting accommodation was served. This prevented any new children from using the service. Two compliance notices under regulation 4 (the leadership and management standard) and regulation 5 (the protection standard) were also issued. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Sunset Rehabilitation Healthcare Centre and Trading Associates Ltd FOR PUBLIC RELEASE

p.1

This monitoring visit

Ofsted carried out monitoring visits on 29 October 2025 and 3 December 2025. Due to the provider’s lack of progress to address the shortfalls, a second notice restricting accommodation was issued on 6 December 2025. The 2 compliance notices under regulations 4 and 5 were also restated.

p.2

This monitoring visit

On 22 January 2026, a monitoring visit was carried out, and due to the provider’s lack of progress to address the shortfalls, the notice restricting accommodation remained in place. Ofsted issued a notice proposing to cancel the provider’s registration.

p.2

This monitoring visit

This visit was carried out to review the provider’s compliance with the notice restricting accommodation and to evaluate progress made to address concerns. Since the last monitoring visit, the provider has reduced the number of properties offering supported accommodation.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The registered service manager was unavailable for this visit but has returned to their role. The nominated individual and another director have been working with the registered service manager to oversee the service, and the provider submitted an improvement plan to Ofsted.

p.2

This monitoring visit

This visit identified no evidence of progress in addressing serious shortfalls. No referrals have been made to the local authority designated officer for allegations made against staff in 2025. Leaders and managers lack a thorough understanding of the most effective practices for safeguarding children and do not have an effective system in place for managing safeguarding.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Leaders and managers wrote to Ofsted about how they wanted to improve the service, but those changes were not evidenced or had not yet occurred. The improvement plan highlighted changes to recruitment practices, safeguarding children, and the oversight of leaders and managers, but these changes have not been addressed.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Ofsted continues to monitor this service. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Sunset Rehabilitation Healthcare Centre and Trading Associates Ltd FOR PUBLIC RELEASE
