Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders ensure that staff provide a well-organised and safe environment for the children who attend. They achieve this through robust management of staff practice. Leaders regularly visit the club to observe staff's interactions with children while they play. They ensure that staff have a working knowledge of policies and procedures through their vigorous induction process. Leaders are clear about the setting's strengths, such as inclusion, and speak passionately about ensuring that all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, have an inclusive experience at the club. Leaders value the positive relationships with parents and carers they are able to develop to support all children to feel included and valued in the club. They discuss the effective partnership working they have established with the host school. Leaders talk about how this helps them to share information about children to provide effective support to children who

p.2
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders provide regular supervision meetings for staff. They use these meetings to identify training needs for staff and carefully consider staff's wellbeing. Staff meet regularly as a team to consider the activities they plan for children and how they can use the environment to promote children's skills. For example, staff make use of large open spaces to promote children's social skills in large-group games.

About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas. This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
