Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2708784 1 Registered provider: Juventas Services

p.1

Inspected under the social care common inspection framework

p.1

Information about this children’s home

The home is owned and managed by a private provider. It offers care for up to 3 children who may experience social and emotional difficulties. Two children were living in the home at the time of this inspection.

p.1

Information about this children’s home

The manager registered with Ofsted in August 2023.

p.1

This monitoring visit

This home was judged as inadequate following a full inspection on 9 and 10 December 2025. Shortfalls in safeguarding children, risk management and the management of the home were identified. As a result, two compliance notices were served relating to the protection of children and the leadership and management of the home. A monitoring visit took place on 3 February 2026, which found that the provider has met both compliance notices.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Since the last inspection, improvements have been made to support the child’s stability. The child has moved back into the main building in the home and receives regular support from consistent staff. This approach has supported the monitoring of child’s welfare more appropriately and has led to the child feeling cared for.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Staff have refreshed safeguarding training and undertaken further mandatory training to enable them to support and safeguard children. Leaders and managers have ensured that staff have received additional training specific to the shortfalls identified at the home. Furthermore, the registered manager and responsible individual have followed up this session with a team meeting to test the knowledge and learning of staff. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2708784 2 Staff are now following the missing-from-home policy and have a better understanding of their roles when children go missing from the home. When children have been missing, staff remain looking for the children in local and known areas until they are found. Since the last inspection, there has been a significant reduction in incidents.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Staff understand the risks that children face and the measures in place to protect them from harm. Children are supported by staff with individualised key-work sessions that enable all of them to understand the risks they face. These approaches help to keep children safer and support them to understand the risks they face.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Professionals say they are somewhat reassured about the care and support staff and leaders are providing to children. However, there are still some concerns about not ensuring that children are adequately prepared for independence and not managing risks in line with their age and stage of development. Therefore, the requirement pertaining to effective and individual care planning will be reinstated.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Leaders and managers have introduced new monitoring systems. However, these are still in the introductory stages and yet to fully embed. Charts have been implemented to monitor the progress of children and to use as an easy tool for identifying and reflecting on any patterns and trends in children’s progress and behaviours. Leaders and managers have identified there are additional tools that need to be implemented to ensure that oversight remains consistent and effective.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The home presents as clean, welcoming and homely, with an array of children’s personal objects on display in order to individualise their surroundings.

All other requirements made at the last inspection are outside the scope of this visit and will be reviewed at the next inspection. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2708784 3
