This home is owned and run by a private organisation. The home is registered to provide care for up to two children who may experience social and emotional difficulties. At the time of the inspection, two children were living in the home.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
The home and the manager were registered with Ofsted in June 2024.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The monitoring visit on 26 November 2025 identified serious and widespread concerns. Ofsted issued compliance notices requiring the provider to ensure that the home is properly managed and conducted in a way that keeps children safe. The purpose of this monitoring visit was to review the progress made in meeting the compliance notices issued. The inspector also reviewed the actions taken by the provider in response to the requirements raised at the last inspection.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The registered manager has implemented clear and detailed action plans in response to the compliance notices. A deputy manager appointed to enhance the management team, and clear expectations have been established regarding roles, responsibilities and accountability within the newly structured management team. As a result, monitoring and oversight of the home has improved, and the quality of care is now subject to regular review.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Safeguarding training has been refreshed for all staff. The management of allegations has been revisited both with individual staff and as a team and clear processes are now in place. The manager and responsible individual track all safeguarding concerns and work collaboratively with external agencies to manage any issues that arise. While all expected actions are taking place, some minor Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2777900 2 shortfalls in recording practices remain. However, these have not had any negative effect on children.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Staff are now more confident in their roles and in the expectations of the manager. They can describe these responsibilities and the actions they should take if they have concerns about a child. Regular team and practice meetings, alongside supervision, are taking place. Reflective practice has been improved because of these changes, and staff are confident to challenge each other’s practice and learn from one another. Staff speak positively about their growing knowledge and confidence.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Children’s risks are known, and plans have been improved to ensure children receive consistent care and that staff understand how to support them to stay safe. These risks are reflected in the content of the conversations and education taking place with children. Risk assessments are not yet being routinely and promptly reviewed following all incidents. However, these have not had any direct negative effect on the care of the children.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The views, wishes and feelings of children are being sought, captured and appropriately responded to. Children are more engaged and as a result one of the children has made demonstrable progress across all areas of their life.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Leaders and mangers have made significant improvements since the last inspection visit, and the shortfalls identified in the compliance notices have been met. One requirement raised at the last inspection has not been fully met, and some recommendations were not reviewed during this visit, these are therefore restated.
