Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: GENPRIDE LTD 1 Genpride Ltd

p.1

Inspected under the social care common inspection framework

p.1

provider

This supported accommodation service is owned and operated by a private provider. It can accommodate up to 6 individuals in one shared-living home that is limited to accommodating children in care and care leavers.

p.1

provider

The organisation and the nominated individual, who is the director of the organisation, registered with Ofsted in March 2025.

p.1

This monitoring visit

On 29 October 2025, a full inspection was conducted. Significant concerns were raised during the inspection. This led to compliance notices being issued under Regulations 4, 5, 11 and 17 of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023. A restriction of accommodation that prevents any further children moving into the service was also issued due to the concerns identified.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The purpose of this monitoring visit was to assess the actions taken by the provider in response to the concerns set out in the compliance notices.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The provider has not accepted any new children into the service since the last inspection. The 2 children who were living at the premises have moved to alternative accommodation.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The provider has not taken effective action to address all the steps identified in the compliance notices. The provider’s failure to update the safeguarding policy, review staff recruitment files, update the admission processes and paperwork and improve the incident recording system means that arrangements to keep children safe have not been improved. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: GENPRIDE LTD 2 There is no registered service manager overseeing the service. While a manager is in place who has started an application, this has not been completed. Following the monitoring visit, the manager informed Ofsted that they had resigned from their post.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The provider’s sponsorship license with the Home Office has been revoked. This has resulted in the provider having no staff to support children.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The nominated individual has failed to demonstrate that they are honest and are of good character. Inspectors found that the Home Office had first contacted the provider in July 2025 regarding concerns. The nominated individual did not inform Ofsted of this contact during the full inspection in October 2025. When inspectors discussed staff sponsorship arrangements at that inspection, the nominated individual stated that the Home Office was aware of the arrangements and had no concerns. Information shared with Ofsted by partner agencies indicates that the information that the nominated individual provided to the inspectors was not accurate.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Information the provider shared from the Home Office raises questions about the financial viability of the organisation.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The provider did not take timely action to review staff recruitment files. While a new process has been implemented, this was not used to review known gaps in staff’s safer recruitment records. The competency of staff and their safeguarding practice had not been assessed.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Leaders, managers and staff do not take effective action to safeguard children. During the monitoring visit, further safeguarding concerns were identified with staff’s recording and leaders’ and managers’ risk management. Children’s records are inconsistent and inaccurate. These failings prevent managers and staff from understanding the children’s current risks so that they can take effective action to keep children safe. Furthermore, children’s social workers and families do not have an accurate picture of what the staff are doing to support children.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Some small steps have been completed to address some of the identified shortfalls. The nominated individual has completed a training course in safeguarding. Some new internal forms have also been introduced to improve management oversight and recruitment practice.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The additional requirements that were raised at the last inspection have not been monitored at this inspection. They have been restated. These will all be monitored at the upcoming full inspection. Ofsted is considering if further enforcement action is required to ensure that the provider complies with their conditions of registration and The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023.
