Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2796475 1 Registered provider: Azalea Care Ltd
p.1
Inspected under the social care common inspection framework
p.1
Information about this children’s home
This home is owned by a private organisation. It provides care for up to 6 children with physical or learning disabilities.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
The manager registered with Ofsted in October 2024. The manager is currently completing a level 5 qualification.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
At the time of the inspection, no children were living at the home.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The home was inspected in November 2025 and received a judgement of inadequate at that inspection. Compliance notices were issued under regulations 12 and 13 of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015. Following this inspection, additional concerns were raised to Ofsted about the safety of the children at the home, and a further monitoring visit was undertaken.
p.1
This monitoring visit
At the last monitoring visit, Ofsted identified serious and widespread concerns in relation to the care and protection of children and the leadership and management of the home. As a result, the registration of the home was suspended. This suspension means that the home was no longer allowed to care for children.
p.1
This monitoring visit
This monitoring visit was undertaken to review whether the provider had adhered to the suspension in place and any actions taken to meet the steps specified in the compliance notices.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The provider continued to care for a child for a few days after the suspension notice was put in place. However, no children have lived at the home since the child moved out. The suspension remains in place and will continue to be monitored by Ofsted. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2796475 2 The provider has not yet taken sufficient action to meet the steps set out in either of the compliance notices.
p.1
This monitoring visit
There is no leadership for the home. Although the registered manager’s registration with Ofsted is yet to end, he left the home in December 2025. There is currently no manager. The deputy manager left following the last inspection. The responsible individual is due to leave in January 2026. Therefore, there is no leadership team in place. With no leadership team in place, the home cannot meet regulatory requirements.
p.2
This monitoring visit
There is not enough staff to safely care for the number of children the home is registered to accommodate. Some staff have left the organisation, and others have been redeployed.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The responsible individual has completed some work toward meeting aspects of the compliance steps. However, these cannot be taken forward and implemented to ensure safe and appropriate care of children. There are no managers or staff to disseminate any reviewed and developed processes, policies and protocols to. Consequently, the necessary changes in practice to keep children safe and improve the quality of care provided cannot take place.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The requirements from the previous visits have either not been met or have not been reviewed in full at this visit. Therefore, these have been reinstated and will be reviewed at the next inspection. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2796475 3
