Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder is able to confidently talk about her provision. She describes her focus on partnership working and supporting children's wellbeing when she has children on roll. She shows passion for continuous professional development and keeps her knowledge up to date. She engages in professional conversations with fellow childminders and knows how to seek advice from the local authority as needed. She plans to engage in more training to further build on her already secure understanding of the early years curriculum.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder understands the importance of all children feeling valued regardless of their background or special educational needs and/or disabilities. When assessing children, she talks about the importance of early intervention and acting quickly to ensure all children are fully supported to achieve their full potential. She talks confidently about how she will work alongside parents and signpost them to external agencies to include speech and language therapy service and the health visiting team. She highlights that she will work with specialists within school settings to further support individual children and work in partnership. The childminder understands the importance of supporting and supervising any new assistants she may have in the future.

About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
