Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder regularly seeks guidance and updates from the local authority and other professional networks to ensure that her skills and training are up to date. She understands how to use this to support all children in her setting to maintain high-quality standards of care. She recognises further development plans to increase her skills and knowledge further, such as undertaking sign language training to support children with special education needs and/or disabilities in their communication. She holds children's interests and needs at the heart of her work and knows how to adjust her practice to help them to achieve. The childminder understands how to develop ways to work more closely with families to help build relationships, such as spending time with families outside of her setting to continue learning about children and expanding her knowledge about their needs. About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
