Childminder

Unique reference number (URN): 2740393 Registered with Ofsted: 04/08/2023 Registers: EYR, CCR, VCR

p.1

Leadership and governance Expected standard

The childminder demonstrates a thorough understanding of how young children develop and learn. Her teaching approach is designed to ensure each child receives appropriate support, enabling every child to maximise their potential. There is an ambitious curriculum, with particular emphasis on outdoor learning experiences and nurturing strong social and emotional skills among children. By focusing on secure relationships, the childminder recognises the positive impact such connections have on learning and development. The childminder is dedicated to upholding high standards of both education and care. She intends to actively identify areas for improvement and ensure that any necessary changes are implemented promptly, always prioritising the best interests of the children in her setting. To remain informed of the latest best practices and guidance within the sector, the childminder will regularly undertake training and professional development activities.

p.1

She will ensure families are kept informed about their child's progress and achievements and promote the importance of regular attendance. The childminder understands the importance of making timely referrals for children who may require additional support and working collaboratively with other early years professionals to ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, or those who are disadvantaged, receive targeted assistance to help them thrive.

About this inspection

We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.

p.3

About this inspection

There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
