Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Kinder Home Care Services Ltd Kinder Home Care Services Ltd Registered provider: Kinder Home Care Services Ltd.
p.1
Inspected under the social care common inspection framework
p.1
provider
This service is operated by a private provider. It can accommodate up to eight individuals in shared-living arrangements over three premises, which are limited to accommodating looked-after children or care leavers.
p.1
provider
The registered manager and the nominated individual registered with Ofsted at the same time as the organisation in January 2024.
p.1
This monitoring visit
On 24 September 2025, a full inspection was undertaken on the supported accommodation service. Significant concerns were raised during the inspection. This led to a compliance notice being issued related to regulation 4 of the Supported Accommodation Regulations 2023.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The purpose of this monitoring visit was to assess the actions taken by the provider in response to the concerns set out in the compliance notice. The visit found that the provider has not taken effective action to address these and none of the concerns identified have been fully resolved.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The provider has accepted a type of placement that is not detailed in their statement of purpose. In doing so, they have failed to obtain important information about known risks, appearing unaware of them and not understanding how these concerns could be managed by the service. The provider has not completed suitable assessments to determine whether they are able to effectively meet the children’s needs. No risk assessments have been completed to support staff’s understanding of their role and responsibilities with the children. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Kinder Home Care Services Ltd Risk assessments for children have not been updated since the inspection. This is despite a significant incident occurring for one child. Managers have not taken steps to ensure that staff have clear guidance to manage risks to children.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Records relating to one child’s missing episodes have not been recorded effectively. This means that it cannot be determined whether staff have taken appropriate action while the child is missing and when they return home. This raises a concern about the provider’s ability to provide effective oversight when children go missing from the service.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Although some staff have received additional training, the registered manager is unsure whether all staff working with children have had the necessary training to understand the issues experienced by the children they support. The provider was unable to evidence that all staff have had supervisions since the last inspection took place. Some staff files were not available and, in another, no supervision since June could be found.
p.2
This monitoring visit
There are ongoing concerns about staff’s ability to effectively meet the needs of children. Staff competencies have also not been fully assessed. This has been completed for some staff, but not for all. On one occasion, a member of staff did not respond competently to a child’s health needs.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Other requirements that were not monitored at this inspection have been restated. These will all be monitored at the upcoming full inspection. Ofsted is considering if further enforcement action is required to ensure that the provider complies with their conditions of registration and The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023.
