Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 29 August 2025, the provider notified us about matters relating to health. This related to an incident in which a child with a known allergy was served food that was not suitable for them. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of a significant event which is likely to affect the suitability of the early years provider.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 29 October 2025 and 7 November 2025, we carried out regulatory telephone calls and found that the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.1
Summary of outcome
n implement effective arrangements to ensure that agreed procedures for managing children's individual dietary needs, including allergies and intolerances, are consistently followed in practice.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 13 November 2025, the provider notified Ofsted about matters relating to the same requirements. We served a subsequent welfare requirements notice with additional actions. Actions needed by 5 December 2025:
p.1
Summary of outcome
n ensure that staff responsible for preparing and handling food are competent to manage allergies safely and that leaders monitor practice effectively so that children are not exposed to allergens
p.2
Summary of outcome
n take all necessary steps to keep children safe and well by ensuring robust systems are in place and consistently implemented to safeguard children and promote good health.
p.2
Summary of outcome
On 8 December 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit to monitor the welfare requirements notice. We found that the provider had responded to the actions set. Children's information has been reviewed and updated to ensure that those with known allergies are appropriately recorded. Meal preparation procedures have been revised to ensure that all meals are clearly labelled with any allergens. Additionally, all staff have received further training to ensure that children's dietary needs are consistently met.
p.2
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
