p.1
This monitoring visit
A full inspection carried out on 11 August 2025 identified significant and widespread breaches in regulations. The home received a judgment of inadequate. Ofsted subsequently issued two compliance notices regarding the safeguarding of children and leadership and management of the home. Ofsted also issued the provider with a notice of restriction of accommodation. This prevents the provider from moving any children into the home while it is in place.
p.1
This monitoring visit
This inspection was carried out to monitor the actions taken by the provider in response to these compliance notices and to review compliance with the restriction notice. The provider has taken appropriate action to improve, and the compliance notices are deemed as met. No children have moved into the home since the last inspection, and the restriction notice has therefore been complied with.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Since the last inspection, the provider has strengthened their responses in respect of safeguarding children. Staff now refer concerns on to social workers and clinicians outside of the home and are now clearer about when to call managers if they have Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: SC484671 2 concerns. Senior leaders have taken appropriate action when staff have failed to report and record concerns raised by children.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Senior leaders have updated children’s individual risk assessments. These are now more detailed, and the information is easier to understand. Staff now use safety and well-being indicators to keep up to date with changes to the children’s support needs.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Since the last inspection, the provider has simplified care planning documents to make them easier for staff to follow. Administrative systems have been made more user friendly, which helps staff to complete tasks in relation to the safety of children. This also helps senior leaders monitor that such tasks are not left unchecked or incomplete.
p.2
This monitoring visit
There has been a reduction in incidents at the home. No children have raised concerns about staff since the last inspection, and there has been no incident requiring the use of restrictive physical intervention. Children now rarely go missing. One child said this was because they like living at the home and do not want to be moved.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Team meetings and staff supervisions have been well used to upskill staff’s safeguarding practice. Senior managers have carried out staff training workshops in safeguarding, whistle-blowing and managing allegations. Additional training in behaviour management and misuse of solvents has been delivered to staff. As a result, staff say they now feel listened to and more confident in their role.
p.2
