This provision does not meet requirements
n The childminder does not have a secure knowledge of safeguarding procedures. She is unable to recognise all signs that may indicate a child is at risk of harm and does not know who to contact in the event of a concern. She incorrectly refers to Ofsted or other agencies instead of the Local Safeguarding Partners (LSPs). This means children are not adequately protected. n The childminder does not ensure that the premises are secure. The front door is routinely left unlocked, allowing parents and potentially unauthorised adults to enter freely without challenge. This practice poses a significant safeguarding risk and means that children would not be fully protected from intruders. n The childminder does not maintain an up-to-date written safeguarding policy or complaints procedure as required. These documents are not in active use and are not shared with parents. This is a breach of the Childcare Register

requirements. n The childminder understands her responsibilities to keep children safe during school runs. She explains how she implements clear safety measures, such as ensuring that children walk close to walls away from the road, follow agreed stopping points and listen to instructions. n The childminder demonstrates an understanding of how to promote positive behaviour. She explains how she sets clear and consistent boundaries and uses praise and redirection to encourage children's cooperation. n The childminder understands the importance of working in close partnership with parents to support children's care and routines. For example, she is flexible in meeting families' needs by collecting children from agreed points and by serving food that parents provide, such as cereal for breakfast. These discussions indicate that she recognises the value of good communication and collaboration with parents.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
