The provision is outstanding
Children thrive in this excellent environment. They form superb relationships with their peers, the childminder and her assistants. The childminder and her assistants work together cohesively and are passionate about providing the very best opportunities for children in their care. Children access a wide range of activities, both indoors and outdoors, that motivate, challenge and spark their natural curiosity to learn. The childminder gathers extensive information from parents about their child at the start of their placement. She uses this to plan, along with her assistants, an ambitious curriculum that consistently meets the individual learning needs of children. The information they gain from the observations and assessments of children enable the childminder and her assistants to build a clear picture of children's skills, abilities and emerging interests. They share ideas with parents of ways they can continue their child's learning at home.

They understand the importance of sharing and taking turns as they play. Older children are gentle towards younger children, and they happily involve them in their play. The childminder recognises children's efforts and achievements, and the praise and encouragement they receive continually builds their confidence and self-esteem. Children show through their behaviour that they feel safe and secure in the care of the childminder and her assistants.
