The provision requires improvement
There have been changes to the management structure since the last inspection. Weaknesses across the nursery have been fully recognised by leaders and plans have been put in place to address these. However, while some improvements have been made, others are in their infancy and not fully embedded across the nursery.
p.2
The provision requires improvement
Staff are kind, caring and manage children's emotional needs well. They readily give babies cuddles when they show signs of tiredness. They show respect towards the children asking for permission to change their nappy to get ready to go home. This helps to promote children's confidence and feel settled in the nursery. However, the quality of learning that children receive is inconsistent. Staff do not always focus on what children need to learn next. As a result, children do not always make the progress they are capable of.
p.2
The provision requires improvement
Despite weaknesses in the provision children appear happy and settled. They behave well. Children play cooperatively with each other taking turns and sharing toys. Staff praise children for their good behaviours. This helps them to learn what is expected of them. Children show confidence in the environment and happily make choices about what they would like to play with.
p.2
need to do better?
n Leaders and managers have focused on making improvements since the last inspection. Changes have been made to the curriculum although these are not yet fully embedded to ensure that all children make the very best progress. Staff plan a range of different age-appropriate activities that children generally enjoy. However, staff do not always focus on what children need to learn through these experiences. This impacts on the progress children make in their learning. n Staff are inconsistent in supporting children's communication and language skills. Some staff engage in meaningful conversations and discussions with children. They read stories to children ensuring children can listen and join in. However, there are times when some staff do not consider the organisation of the environment when reading stories or engaging in group times. Staff communicate with children and each other using loud voices. This distracts

children and makes it difficult for them to remain engaged and motivated. This impacts on children's emerging speaking and listening skills. n Children gain an understanding of the importance of healthy lifestyles. They benefit from healthy meals and snacks. Staff remind children to wash their hands before mealtimes. Children enjoy the time they spend in the outdoor area where they benefit from fresh air and exercise. Children show delight and determination while engaging in play. They confidently negotiate the climbing frame where they learn new physical skills. Staff deploy themselves well,

They express how they feel that they have been involved with the changes that have been made. Leaders and managers are committed to support staff further to make more improvements to ensure the quality of the provision is at a good level throughout. n Staff have a good understanding of the procedures to follow in the event of a concern about a child's welfare or the actions of another adult. They are confident with who to report concerns to both within the setting and to external agencies. This helps to keep children safe. n Children learn to develop their independence skills. Older children are encouraged to learn to take care of their own personal needs. Toddlers are encouraged to use a tissue to wipe their own nose. Children learn to feed

themselves at mealtimes. n Leaders and staff have established links with other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This includes focusing on specific targets for these children. However, weaknesses across the curriculum also impact on the progress these children are able to make. n Parents comment that their children enjoy attending nursery. They express how much their children want to attend on non-nursery days. They say that they are given verbal feedback from staff at the end of the day and enjoy the updates that come through on the online app.
