p.1

This provision meets requirements

Children thoroughly enjoy their time at this out-of-school setting. They arrive with enthusiasm, warmly greet their friends and engage in activities they help to shape. Staff plan purposeful activities based on children's interests. For instance, when children ask for face paints, staff enthusiastically use their imaginations and transform children into different animals with the paints. This sense of ownership helps children to have high levels of enjoyment and confidence in the activities they do. Children express pride in being 'helpers' and express excitement to spend time with caring staff.

Children feel safe, secure and respected. This encourages positive behaviour and strong relationships.
