There has been no registered manager at the home since 21 August 2025. There is no manager in post.

p.1

Information about this children’s home

At the time of this visit, no children were living at the home.

p.1

This monitoring visit

On 15 and 16 July 2025, a full inspection was completed of this children’s home. This inspection was brought forward due to an escalation in safeguarding notifications relating to the child living at the home. These raised significant concerns relating to the staff’s ability to keep the child safe, together with concerns about the leadership and management of the home. The registered manager had applied to cancel her registration with Ofsted voluntarily, which took effect on 21 August 2025.

p.1

This monitoring visit

On 15 July 2025, inspectors were advised that on the following day, the child would told that they would be moving immediately to another home. The child had not been prepared in any way for this move.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Given the shortfalls found, a case review took place while inspectors were on site. It was agreed that Ofsted would issue a notice to urgently suspend the home’s registration. It was decided at a further case review on 17 July 2025 that Ofsted would issue two compliance notices relating to the protection of children, and the leadership and management of the home. Inspection report for children’s home – monitoring visit: 2677465 2 This monitoring visit was undertaken to monitor the action taken by the provider to meet the steps within the compliance notices. No children were living at the home at the time of the visit. The provider has therefore complied with the suspension notice.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Currently, there is no manager to oversee the day-to-day management of the home. There is also no staff team to work at the home. The provider has a plan to refurbish the home.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The provider indicated that they do not plan to operate the home until 2026. Therefore, they have not taken action to meet the required steps in the compliance notices. The suspension notice remains in place until the end date on the notice. Inspection report for children’s home – monitoring visit: 2677465 3
