p.1
Information about this children’s home
One child was living at the home and contributed to the inspection.
p.1
This monitoring visit
This children’s home was judged inadequate at the full inspection on 2 and 3 July 2025. Serious shortfalls in safeguarding children and the management of the home were identified. One compliance notice was served regarding the leadership and management of the home. A restriction of accommodation was issued.
p.1
This monitoring visit
A monitoring visit was conducted on 21 August 2025. At this visit, the provider had not taken enough action to meet all of the steps in the compliance notice. A further compliance notice has been served, and the restriction of accommodation remains in place.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The purpose of this monitoring visit was to monitor the restriction of accommodation and review the progress that the provider has made to meet the steps in the compliance notice. The provider has complied with the restriction of accommodation. One child is living at the home and contributed to the inspection.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The home is overseen by two deputy managers and the responsible individual. Since the full inspection, leaders and managers have ensured that specific training is available for staff. This reflects the individual needs of the child. However, the staff have not yet completed the training that has been made available to them. All staff have attended face-to-face physical intervention training, which has provided them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to safely intervene when necessary and appropriate. Inspection report for children's home - monitoring visit: 2780237 2 Leaders and managers have ensured that the home is free from hazards. All necessary repairs have been completed, and the home is safe.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Managers have provided staff with individual and reflective supervision sessions following an incident. However, the identified learning from these sessions has not been shared with the wider staff team. This is a missed opportunity to improve the quality of care.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Managers and staff have responded appropriately to a significant incident that has occurred. Despite this, management oversight, evaluation, review or action plans are not evident. The child has no effective care plan or independence plan. This fails to plan for the child’s emerging independence. Managers have failed to provide clear direction and demonstrate the necessary oversight. This fails to ensure consistency and continuity of care to support progress for children.
