Inspection report for children’s home – monitoring visit: 2797526 1 Registered provider: Sansaar Care Limited

p.1

Inspected under the social care common inspection framework

p.1

Information about this children’s home

This home is owned and managed by a private provider. It provides care for up to three children who may experience social and emotional difficulties.

p.1

Information about this children’s home

The home has been without a registered manager since 8 May 2025.

p.1

Information about this children’s home

At the time of this inspection, no children were living in the home.

p.1

This monitoring visit

This children’s home was judged inadequate at the full inspection on 24 and 25 June 2025. This was due to serious and widespread failures that meant children were not protected and their welfare not promoted or safeguarded. Children’s experiences were poor, and they were not making progress.

p.1

This monitoring visit

On 26 June 2025, the provider was restricted from moving children into the home due to the concerns identified. On 8 July 2025, the home’s registration was suspended due to specific concerns or allegations received by Ofsted.

p.1

This monitoring visit

This visit was completed to monitor the action taken to meet the steps within the restriction notice. It also reviewed a requirement issued at the full inspection.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The provider has complied with the suspension notice and the home has not been operating, with no evidence of children living there.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The directors lack relevant knowledge about residential care. They have not replaced the current responsible individual as planned. Leaders have also not appointed a Inspection report for children’s home – monitoring visit: 2797526 2 new manager to lead the home. Leaders have not yet implemented actions needed to improve leadership of the home.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Systemic weaknesses remain within the systems of oversight of the home. Leaders have not yet addressed the quality of independent visitor reports. They have not implemented plans for auditing and monitoring against key performance indicators. An action plan created after the inspection does not address all shortfalls identified.

p.2

This monitoring visit

An investigation by senior leaders into concerns received by Ofsted lacks critical evaluation. The report does not look at why leaders, particularly the responsible individual, were not aware of the shortfalls found at the full inspection. Leaders also failed to look at lessons learned, particularly in respect of the lack of monitoring of the quality of care and leadership of the home.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Leaders have not provided staff with the skills to provide effective care for children. Following the last inspection, leaders made all staff redundant and have not re- employed them. As a result, leaders cannot provide a robust induction and training programme.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Leaders have not addressed shortfalls, such as no review of their procedure for managing allegations against staff. Furthermore, the home has not been repaired or renovated to make it safe and homely for children.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Leaders accept the need for improvement. They can describe their plans and desire to make changes. However, the steps within the restriction notice relating to the leadership and management of the home have not been met. The requirement issued at the full inspection relating to policies for the protection of children has not been met.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Most of the requirements from the previous inspection were not reviewed during this visit, therefore they are restated. Inspection report for children’s home – monitoring visit: 2797526 3
