The provision is good
Children are confident, happy and independent. They show a willingness to learn and engage in a wide range of experiences. Staff provide opportunities for children to feel proud when they manage tasks by themselves. Staff provide fun, meaningful and real-life activities, which means children show a lot of enthusiasm for what they do each day. Staff provide a supportive environment that encourages children's development. Children grow plants, study the life cycle of chickens, and explore fossil activities. These experiences help children develop a secure understanding of the world. Staff encourage children to work in small groups. This helps them build social skills, emotional resilience and positive behaviour. Staff set high expectations for behaviour. They help children to be kind, and manage their feelings.
p.2
The provision is good
Staff extend children's vocabulary through storytelling, conversations and language-rich activities. Many children are learning new languages. Staff provide strong support to build children's communication skills and confidence. A love for reading is evident, and children engage with books on their own. Staff organise the environment to make it easy for children to access resources. This encourages children to lead their own learning. Staff create a space that nurtures children to be confident, curious and resilient learners. Staff give opportunities for children to investigate, solve problems and develop critical thinking skills. For example, as children explore dinosaur eggs, they discover what could be inside. Children settle well, forming strong relationships with staff and their peers. Children feel safe and valued in a respectful and inclusive environment.

need to do better?
n The curriculum is clear, deeply embedded and well taught. Staff give children meaningful experiences and lots of new words to learn. They cheer children on to try these words, helping them talk more and understand better. n Children feel safe and cared for. They trust the staff and build strong bonds. This helps them learn and grow. For example, children confidently ask questions of staff and ask for help if needed. Staff help children to be kind, handle feelings and grow strong and confident. n Children make choices and express their views. This builds their confidence, independence and control over their learning. At snack time, children have fruits and vegetables to choose from. This help them learn about healthy eating. Staff sit with the children at lunch, eating together and talking about good food choices n Staff work closely and supportively with parents and extended families. They share updates often and help with learning at home, so children keep making

This ensures a collaborative approach to each child's development and well-being. n Staff help children build on their knowledge with fun activities that match their age and what they enjoy. This shows they understand each child and how to help them learn well. The pre-school has strong community links. For example, children go on outings to the local library and many have become members. n Staff feel valued and motivated. They contribute to a happy, committed team that puts children's interests first. Children's ideas and interests guide the curriculum. This makes learning fun, important and suited to the children being cared for. In group time, more confident children often take the lead. This can mean that those children who are less confident communicators do not get the support they need with developing their speaking skills. This means that staff,

sometimes, miss chances to help less-confident children learn more, especially in big groups. n Children learn about recycling and caring for the earth. This helps them be responsible and develop good habits for life. For example, children are taught about recycling and what can be recycled. The pre-school is an inclusive environment, where children feel happy, supported and ready to learn. All children are eager to learn and explore. They are all engaged in their play. Leaders, dedicated staff and an effective curriculum help every child succeed and feel confident. n Leadership is supportive and motivating. Staff have regular supervisions and staff meetings. All staff have completed safeguarding and first-aid training. n Staff provide an 'emotion board', where children can place their names to show how they are feeling. This activity makes it easier for children to share how they feel and get help if they need some.
