p.1

Information about this children’s home

There has been no registered manager at the home since 24 July 2024. There is an interim manager in post who has made an application to register with Ofsted.

p.1

This monitoring visit

This children’s home has been closed since February 2024 following a suspension notice being issued. This was due to concerns around the quality of safeguarding practice and the poor leadership and management of the home.

p.1

This monitoring visit

On 11 June 2025, Ofsted imposed a condition on the home’s registration. This required the provider to notify Ofsted three months before it intended to move any children into the home. The provider notified Ofsted of its intention to reopen.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The purpose of this monitoring visit was to review the provider’s progress and action taken to make the necessary improvements. This included making the home a safe environment, and to review if there are sufficient staff with the skills and experience needed to care for children.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The home is clean and tidy. All communal areas have been redecorated to a good standard. Furthermore, all six bedrooms have been prepared for children to move in, with new soft furnishings and bedroom furniture. The previous sensory room has been renovated and is now a room that can be used as a lounge area. There are toys, games and books for children to easily access. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: SC424141 2 The outside area of the home is in the process of being renovated, with flowers being planted to the front of the house. The back garden and the side of the house have had overgrown bushes and trees removed. The remaining trees are being pruned to allow for more play space in the garden. A fence is being erected to the side of the house, which will prevent younger children from gaining access to the busy road outside the home.

p.1

This monitoring visit

A manager with previous residential care experience has been recruited and interviewed. The manager is enthusiastic and excited to be taking on this role.

p.2
