p.1
Inspected under the social care common inspection framework
p.1
Information about this children’s home
The home is operated by a private company. It provides care for one child with social and emotional difficulties.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
There has been no registered manager since April 2025.
p.1
This monitoring visit
A full inspection of the home took place on 7 May 2025. At that inspection, serious and widespread concerns were identified, and the home was judged to be inadequate. A restriction of accommodation notice was served by Ofsted. The restriction of accommodation notice prevents the provider from moving any children into the home while it is in place.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The purpose of this visit was to monitor the restriction notice. At the time of this visit, the provider had complied with the restriction. No children were living at the home and no children had moved in or out of the home since the last inspection.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Since the last inspection, the provider has appointed a new responsible individual and is in the process of recruiting a new manager. At the time of this visit, there were no staff employed to work at the home.
p.1
This monitoring visit
As the home is not able to provide suitable care to children, the restriction of accommodation notice will remain in place.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The requirements and recommendations made at the last inspection have not been explored during this inspection. These have therefore been restated. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2792075 2

Recommendations
The registered person should ensure that when a child returns to the home after being missing from care or away from the home without permission, the responsible local authority provides an opportunity for the child to have an independent return home interview. Information provided by such interviews should be considered when assessing risks and putting arrangements in place to protect each child. (‘Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations, including the quality standards’, page 45, paragraph 9.30) The registered person should ensure that the home has a key role in organising and ensuring each child’s attendance at the necessary primary and secondary health services. Most health services that a child needs to access will be provided by other organisations. In particular, the registered person should ensure that staff seek medical advice from appropriate medical professionals when there are concerns about a child’s health. (‘Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations,
