Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 26 November 2024, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting requirements relating to staff: child ratios, and safety and suitability of premises, environment and equipment. Between the 02 January 2025 and 20 February 2025, we received further concerns that the provider was not meeting these and other requirements relating to suitable people, health, and supporting and understanding children's behaviour.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 24 February 2025, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We also suspended the provider's registration on 24 February 2025 because we believe children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider has a right to appeal against a suspension. The provider may not provide childcare for which registration is required while the suspension is in place and may commit an offence if they do so.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 04 March 2025 and 8 April 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection. We found that the provider had met the actions set in the welfare requirement notice. We found that the provider had improved their knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. They ensure staff are deployed effectively to meet the individual care and learning needs of all children. They have put arrangements in place to ensure children are adequately supervised and always in sight and hearing distance while eating. They ensure staff: child ratios are maintained for all age ranges of children and that staff working with younger children hold the relevant qualifications. Staff are aware of how to implement effective risk assessments in practice to help ensure the premises, activities and resources are safe and suitable. Staff have received

training on safe sleeping and understand how to implement the setting's safe sleeping procedures in practice. They have implemented procedures to ensure children's dietary requirements are consistently taken account of throughout the day. All children have been assigned a key person. Staff have taken time to share information and read relevant information and records about each of their key children. They have implemented a new system for sharing information with staff when children transition between rooms, in order to ensure children receive the targeted support that they need and their individual care and learning needs can be consistently met. The provider has implemented a new system to provide staff with supervisions. Supervisions will focus on identifying and providing staff with the level of support, coaching and training needed to develop the skills to fulfil their roles and responsibilities. All staff have received training on the setting's safeguarding policies and

procedures, and understand how to implement these in practice. They have new systems in place to ensure sufficiently detailed information and records are kept and maintained for the safe and effective management of the setting.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 05 March 2025, we lifted the suspension because the provider took appropriate action to deal with the matter that led to the suspension. We are satisfied that the identified risk of harm to children has been removed.

p.2

Staff are more vigilant to any risks and know where to report any concerns. Handles to outside doors have been raised to stop children from accessing these areas unsupervised. Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.5

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
