Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 9 December 2024, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The overall effectiveness of the provision was judged to be inadequate. The inspection report sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 7 January 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the childminder had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection. We found the provider had met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The childminder has improved training and support for assistants to strengthen their knowledge and skills of how to promote children's learning, including managing children's behaviour appropriately. The childminder has supported assistants to understand how to identify and escalate concerns for children's welfare, which helps to ensure children are protected. Assistants demonstrate a better understanding of the Prevent duty guidance. The childminder has taken action to provide appropriate facilities for children to dry their hands after washing them. This helps to promote children's health and hygiene.

p.1

Summary of outcome

However, the childminder had failed to ensure that potential risks to children's safety are identified, and action is taken to remove or minimise these, to keep children safe. We took steps to cancel the provider's registration.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 3 June 2025 we carried out an inspection. We took account of the inspection outcome and decided not to cancel the provider's registration. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
