Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right. On 2 June 2025, we received concerns that this provider was not meeting some of these requirements. On 27 June 2025, we carried out an unannounced regulatory visit. Following this visit, we suspended the provider's registration to provide childcare and served the provider with a Welfare Requirements Notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Actions needed by 2 July 2025:

take all reasonable steps to ensure that children in their care are not exposed to risks and demonstrate how they are managing risks, using effective risk assessments that identify aspects of the environment that need to be checked on a regular basis, when those aspects will be checked, and how the risk will be removed or minimised

p.1

Actions needed by 2 July 2025:

ensure that the premises, including outdoor spaces, are fit for purpose and suitable for the age of children cared for and the activities provided on the premises

p.1

Actions needed by 2 July 2025:

ensure the premises are clean, hygienic and free of clutter, including making sure there are suitable facilities for the hygienic preparation of food for children

p.1

Actions needed by 2 July 2025:

ensure toilets and handwashing facilities are clean, hygienic and free of hazards, and there are suitable hygienic changing facilities for changing any children who are in nappies

p.1

Actions needed by 2 July 2025:

take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of children, and others on the premises in the case of fire or any other emergency, including making sure exits are free of obstruction and easily opened from the inside

p.1

Actions needed by 2 July 2025:

ensure records of relevant and required information about children are accessible and available to view to ensure children are kept safe, particularly in the event of an emergency

p.1

Actions needed by 2 July 2025:

On 4 July 2025, we carried out a further unannounced regulatory visit. We found the provider had taken action to make the premises safe for children. We also found the provider still had not ensured relevant and required information about children was accessible and available to view. Following this visit, we lifted the suspension of the provider's registration because the provider took appropriate action to deal with the matter that led to the suspension. We also served the provider with a second Welfare Requirements Notice.

p.1

Actions needed by 7 July 2025:

ensure records of relevant and required information about children are accessible and available to view to ensure children are kept safe, particularly in the event of an emergency.

p.2

Actions needed by 7 July 2025:

On 8 July 2025, we carried out a further regulatory visit. We found the provider was meeting the requirements. She now has records for all children she has on roll and these are accessible and available to view. We are satisfied with the action the provider has taken. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
