The provision is good
The childminder places a strong value on the use of the outdoor learning environment and the natural world to support children in their learning. This includes nature walks, woodland learning experiences and her well-resourced garden. The childminder provides children with a wide range of activities that help them to make good progress and develop the skills they need to be ready for their move to nursery. For example, the childminder helps children to recall familiar stories and recreate scenes during role play. She knows each child's interests and how they prefer to play. The childminder plans the learning environment to reflect these interests, ensuring that children are well motivated to play and explore. For instance, younger children enjoy peeling off tape and decorating their own crowns using flowers, twigs and leaves.
