The provision is good

Children are curious and engaged learners. They concentrate well in their play, for example spending a long time creating spiders from salt dough. The childminder encourages children to persevere and celebrates their achievements, saying 'well done' when children manage to do something they could not before. The childminder develops strong bonds with children and understands the positive impact this has on children's learning and development. Children are secure and safe.

The provision is good

The childminder has developed a good curriculum and introduces new concepts to children in a cohesive way. She gives children time to practise what they know and teaches them new knowledge in a variety of ways, understanding how children learn and develop. Children are well prepared for the next stage of learning and make good progress in their learning and development. The childminder speaks in a clear voice and repeats new words, such as 'dung beetle' and 'funnel web spider', so children build their vocabulary. Babies babble, responding to the childminder and building their communication skills.
