Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Miracle Social Care Ltd 1 Miracle Social Care Limited

p.1

Registered provider: Miracle Social Care Limited

p.1

Inspected under the social care common inspection framework

p.1

provider

This supported accommodation service is owned and managed by a private provider. The service provides up to seven shared supported accommodation premises that are limited to accommodating looked-after children and care leavers.

p.1

provider

At the time of this monitoring visit, this service was providing supported accommodation for four children aged 16 and 17.

p.1

provider

The service manager registered with Ofsted when the service was registered in February 2024.

p.1

provider

Since registration, there have been three previous monitoring visits in response to concerns raised about the provider operating outside of the registration requirements. Ofsted served two restriction of accommodation notices and four compliance notices.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Ofsted carried out a monitoring visit on 27 February 2025 to address specific concerns about the increasing number and seriousness of notifiable events at one of the provider’s premises. Following the visit, Ofsted issued a notice of restriction of accommodation and two compliance notices. The purpose of this latest monitoring visit was to review the restriction notice and to consider the progress made against the compliance notices.

p.1

This monitoring visit

As part of this monitoring visit, the inspector visited two properties and spoke with one child, staff and the nominated individual. Children said that they feel happy and safe in their accommodation and feel supported by staff to prepare for independent living. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Miracle Social Care Ltd 2 Leaders and managers do not consistently work with external services to assess children’s risks effectively before they move in. They do not fully identify whether living in supported accommodation is right for these children, and how best to support them when they have moved into their homes. This has led to some children experiencing unplanned moves, limiting their progress.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Staff have updated support plans, and systems are now in place for the oversight of these documents. Plans include children’s behaviours and their known vulnerabilities, including contextual safeguarding. However, they do not identify children’s changing needs and risks or the support being offered to them or capture the children’s wishes and feelings.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Staff receive mandatory training. However, this does not include children’s evolving needs. This means that leaders and managers cannot be assured that all staff have the knowledge and skills that they need to support children effectively. Since the last monitoring visit, the provider has not provided any further training to help develop staff skills.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Following this visit, the notice of restriction of accommodation and two compliance notices remain in place, and Ofsted will continue to monitor the service. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Miracle Social Care Ltd 3
