n Children are confident communicators. Staff focus well on improving children's language throughout all interactions and are good role models, such as by using a range of words and repeating them. All children begin to say and understand single words. Older children speak clearly and confidently use a wide range of vocabulary as they retell their favourite stories. n Children concentrate well as they roll and press play dough and use cutters to make shapes. They model good fine motor skills as they roll the play dough between their hands. Children use their own ideas. They particularly enjoy the mark-making area and explore making marks and drawing cars as part of their topic on road safety. n Staff plan from children's interests to ensure that they are highly engaged and motivated to learn.
