Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 13 February 2025, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting requirements relating to suitable people.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 28 February 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that persons caring for children have the required qualifications and training to fulfil their roles

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure records are kept of staff qualifications and the identity checks and vetting processes that have been completed, including the criminal records check reference number, the date a check was obtained and details of who at the setting obtained it

p.1

n implement arrangements to ensure that staff meet children's individual needs, help children to become familiar with the setting, offer settled relationships for children and build relationships with their parents and/or carers

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that there are always the required number of suitably qualified staff, including a manager and/or deputy, on the premises to meet the needs of children and ensure their welfare and safety

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure that staff complete training in food safety before they are allowed to prepare and handle food for children

p.1

Summary of outcome

n maintain all required documentation and ensure that it is easily accessible to those with a professional need to see it

p.1

Summary of outcome

n provide Ofsted with information about all directors associated with the registration so that the required suitability checks can be completed.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We suspended the provider's registration on 28 February 2025 because we believe children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider has a right to appeal against a suspension. The provider may not provide childcare for which registration is required while the suspension is in place and may commit an offence if they do so.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 12 March 2025, the provider responded to the actions set. On 24 March 2025, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the actions raised in the welfare requirements notice. We found the provider had met some of the actions but not others. Staff have completed food safety training and an unchecked director has now resigned. However, concerns about staff suitability, qualifications and training had not been addressed. In addition, the provider was unable to explain appropriate arrangements to ensure children's individual needs would be met.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 24 April 2025, we carried out a further regulatory visit to check whether the provider had met the actions raised in the welfare requirements notice. We found the provider had again met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others. Information and records are better organised and accessible. The provider has reviewed how staff will be deployed and inducted into key person roles to meet children's individual needs. Some staff have qualifications and recognised training that is relevant to their roles. However, the provider does not complete consistent vetting and suitability checks for staff. They do not ensure that staff have the knowledge and experience required to carry out all identified responsibilities.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 19 May 2025, we carried out another regulatory visit to check whether the provider had met the actions raised in the welfare requirements notice. We found that the provider has taken steps to ensure that staff have the required qualifications and training for their roles. Appropriate records are maintained that show the identity and vetting checks that staff have completed. The provider explains their arrangements to deploy suitably qualified staff to help meet children's individual needs, including as they settle-in.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 19 May 2025, we lifted the suspension because the provider took appropriate action to deal with the matters that led to the suspension. We are satisfied that the identified risk of harm to children has been removed. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
