p.1
provider
The service manager, who is also the nominated individual, has been registered with Ofsted since 22 September 2024.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Ofsted carried out this monitoring visit in response to concerns raised by a child and others about staff’s ability to meet their needs and keep them safe. This information indicated that the provider was accommodating a child who should not be living in supported accommodation.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The staff team is not consistent. The child said that they rarely see the same member of staff. The house is also used for staff training, which means that staff unknown to the child are often present in the home. The manager had not reflected on the impact of these issues on the child. As a result, the child is unable to build trusting and positive relationships with staff who know them well.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Staff do not support the child in line with the organisation’s policies and statement of purpose. Staff have stored and dispensed medication, which does not promote the child’s independence. The manager was unaware of this practice, which is not in line with the ethos of supported accommodation. This indicates that the manager does not have sufficient oversight of this service. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Agape4all 2 The registered service manager, who is also the nominated individual, did not have a process in place to notify Ofsted of serious incidents. Incidents that included threats to staff and verbal aggression where the police had been called had not been notified to Ofsted. This prevents Ofsted as the regulator from having effective oversight of the service and assessing the risks to children.
p.1
