The home is privately owned and provides care for one child who may require support with emotional and social difficulties.

p.1

Information about this children's home

The registered manager’s post is vacant.

p.1

Information about this children's home

A manager has been appointed but has not yet applied to register and is supported by an operations manager.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The purpose of this visit was to monitor the statutory requirements that were set following the last full inspection on 29 October 2024. These requirements were reinstated during an assurance visit on 7 January 2025.

p.1

This monitoring visit

There have been no children living in the home since January 2025.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The home has been without a registered manager since December 2024. The provider has appointed a new manager who started on 23 April 2024. The manager is not yet registered with Ofsted. The provider has also appointed a deputy manager who is due to start in May 2025.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Limited progress has been made in developing and strengthening the home’s risk assessment process and document template. However, this has not yet been tested, as there are no children currently living at the home.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The operations manager has made some progress in developing a system to ensure effective monitoring and oversight of the home by creating a quality assurance review document. However, this document has not yet been tested. Therefore, learning from evaluation cannot yet be shared with the staff team. This limits opportunities to reflect on and develop practice. Inspection report for children's home - monitoring visit: 2556338 2 Individual supervision for the workforce is not yet embedded. The operations manager has used group supervision and is planning to complete individual sessions with the staff jointly with the newly appointed manager. This has limited opportunities for staff to develop professionally.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The home’s statement of purpose is regularly provided to the regulator. However, this document does not accurately reflect the recent staffing changes in the home.

p.2

This monitoring visit

All staff have now completed training relating to trauma-informed practice and the use of physical intervention. They have not yet had the opportunity to put this learning into practice.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Some progress towards meeting the statutory requirements identified at the full inspection has been made. The requirements will be evaluated again at the next inspection. The provider has not cared for children since the last inspection and therefore cannot demonstrate progress in all the required areas.
