Ofsted carried out this monitoring visit in response to concerns raised about the provider’s safeguarding practice, which included staff not following their missing- from-home policy.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Leaders and managers take appropriate action when children are missing from home. However, risk assessments do not include children’s known vulnerabilities, and they are not updated regularly or signed and dated by the author. This means that staff are not aware of children’s changing risks. Leaders and managers do not Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Calmliving Care Ltd 2 collaboratively work with external services to share relevant safeguarding concerns for children, which means that children are at further risk of harm.

This monitoring visit
Staff carry out regular key-work sessions with children, however, children’s views are not clearly recorded in their records or in their support plans. This means that children have few opportunities to express their views about the support that they receive. The provider has identified training for staff to improve practice regarding case recording.
p.2
