The provision is good
Children grow in confidence as they enjoy their time at the busy, well-organised nursery. They gain a broad scope of experiences through the well-considered curriculum. Staff support children through continual engagement and dialogue during their day. Children feel secure as they follow the routines of the day and quickly become independent as staff promote important life skills. For example, children wash their hands, get their coats for outdoor play and serve themselves lunch. Children make good progress towards their onward education.
p.2
The provision is good
Staff provide a wide range of experiences that appeal to all ages and stages of development. They confidently describe children's interests and use these to engage them in meaningful play and experiences. Staff encourage children to keep trying during activities. The environment is calm and purposeful, and children show high levels of engagement.
p.2
The provision is good
Children develop close bonds with their key person. Staff effectively use information collected from parents when children start, to help them understand children's interests and meet their individual needs. This supports children to settle quickly and helps them feel secure. Babies who are new to the nursery show they are settled in their new environment. Staff affectionately play with babies and offer plenty of cuddles and affection.
p.2
need to do better?
n Staff use specific approaches to promote children's communication and language development. For example, they use visual cues to remind children of what they need to do. Staff use sign language and get down to the children's level when interacting with them. Children respond well to this. They engage in back and forth conversations with staff and improve their communication skills. Staff read storybooks with children often. As such, children learn and develop a wider vocabulary. n Staff are kind and respectful to children. They model good manners and talk to them in a caring manner. Children's behaviour is generally good. However, staff do not always offer children explanations for why some behaviour is undesirable. Consequently, children do not learn to adapt their behaviour and recognise the impact their behaviour may have on others. n Children benefit from trips in the local community and wider afield, supporting

them to learn more about the world around them. Staff take children for regular walks in the local community, such as to the local shops and park. This helps them understand more about where they live. n Children have many opportunities to be active in the fresh air and develop their physical skills. All children wear a full waterproof suit so they can fully embrace

Children are able to explore an enrichment outdoor learning area where they learn specific skills, such as being around an open fire and planting their own vegetables. Staff teach children how to stay safe and encourage them to identify risks independently. n Children have good opportunities to improve their hand-eye coordination, which helps with their early writing skills. They focus carefully while engaging in a wide range of resources and activities. Children enjoy drawing and making mark in various ways, such as in sand or with writing materials on paper. n Leaders are reflective and proactive in their evaluation of the nursery. They recognise their strengths and areas for continued development. Staff comment positively on the training, support, and coaching they receive. For example, peer observations help staff continually improve their personal effectiveness. In turn,
