At the time of the visit, there was an ongoing investigation by the appropriate authorities due to safeguarding concerns raised regarding the care of a child who had been living at the home. While Ofsted does not have the power to investigate incidents of this kind, actions taken by the setting in response to the incidents were considered alongside other evidence available at the time of the inspection to inform the inspector’s judgements.

In October 2024, Ofsted was informed that there had been some serious allegations about staff conduct and subsequently issued a notice suspending the registration of the home. This prevents the provider from moving any children into the home.

This visit was carried out to monitor compliance with the suspension notice. The home has not provided care for children since the suspension notice was issued. The provider has complied with the suspension notice, which remains in place.

A safeguarding investigation in respect of the allegations remains ongoing. In the meantime, staff have been provided with additional training to improve their knowledge and skills. The outcome of the investigation is not yet known. The provider is continuing to work in collaboration with the authorities investigating the allegations.
